Company Background

Wheels etc. is the evolution of my experience in the tire industry. I began 28 years ago selling tires for national concerns starting with Duddy's, Allen Tire Sales and Empire Tire Company which became known as Empco Ind. In 1976 I left Empco and began buying changeover tires and wheels from tire dealers and van conversion companies in Southern California and selling them to car dealers and tire dealers in winter areas for use with snow tires. In 1980 we added retail sales of passenger tires, OEM wheels and hubcaps and in 1986 moved to our present location where we now service commercial trucks and maintain 2 acres of used tires, wheels and hubcaps.

Products and Services

We sell used tires from 4.00 x 8's to 29.5 x 29's. We have in excess of 5,000 tires and casings in stock and turn that inventory about twice a year. We specialize in hard to find obsolete sizes. Our inventory of OEM wheels includes Style Steel Rally wheels and Alloys and exceeds 10,000 pieces. We have specialty wheels for trucks and forklifts. Our inventory of 100,000 original factory wheel covers is supplemented by a line of new aftermarket wheel covers from Taiwan. We also carry an open inventory of tire repair materials available to small tire shops and fleets that prefer to buy 1 section patch at a time instead of a box of 12 or 20. We do section repairs on speed rated tires, bias and radial truck tires and loader tires. We teach section repairing to fleet personnel and small tire shops. We also groove truck tires for use on trailer fleets or for resale at truck stops. We now have catalogs and price lists for the new wheel covers as well as a printed inventory of the casings and hope to soon have them available for download from this web site. Finally, Wheels etc. is a licensed and bonded tire hauler and also has a registered site for the processing of waste tires under California regulations.
